Nintendo Japan updates Diddy Kong playback and fans are thrilled • Eurogamer.net

The image of Diddy Kong has been updated on the Japanese site Nintendo, provoking rumors that the small hero could return in the not too distant future.

As spotted by the eagle’s eye BlueCatBanjo73 and reported by our Nintendo Life friends, Diddy’s has had a bit of a transformation, even though it has been quiet on the Kong front since Tropical Freeze was relaunched on the Nintendo Switch a few years ago.

Now, however, Nintendo Japan has updated the stock image of Diddy on the official website, changing the latest version – which was taken from Mario Party DS – to a new one. Interestingly, Diddy wears the same position and outfit.

Definitely confirm that something new is going on? It’s the same. But there is no denying that it is a strange time for a random update and it can really be a thin sign that there is something on the horizon, such as a new Mario Party game. For now, all we can do is look at this space, I think.
