Nightfall is a continuous mode with many promises

Here’s a solid piece of the gameplay for this Dark Souls: Remastered mode

The creator of the known Ash’s daughters way for Dark souls came back with an even bigger and bolder project, one that is done with a group and they released an 18-minute preview of the game. The project, Dark Souls: Nightfall, is a “direct sequel” that begins with a leap of faith in the Furnace of the First Flame, right where Gwyn was killed by the Undead chosen in the original finale.

Nightfall it promises “a new story, a new battle system, a new world map and more.”

To unpack a bit, the assets of this mode are not completely new, but the creators and collaborators – Grimrukh, AinTunez, Meowmaritu, horkrux, Dane Brennand, wulf2k, Souv, ZullieTheWitch, Itzli and Martin Billany – do everything they can Nightfall feel distinct and fresh for the fans.

This includes story-driven game mechanics (such as a crazy-looking dodge), voice NPCs, “faster” battles, enemies that have been re-textured and received “heavily modified animations,” and a world that is partly Lordran. as we know it and partly new areas built from “existing map pieces”.

Preview images demonstrate all of these elements. Aside from the Blistering Demon and the potential for other provocative boss fights to try to work, I’m most intrigued by the time-changing properties of Gwyn’s Pendant, a “medallion containing remnants of the first flame.” At the beginning Nightfall, a text message says “twelve ashes remain”; about ten minutes later, another message warns with concern that there are eleven left, and the player uses Gwyn’s pendant to go back in time.

The description of the pendant article suggests that “only [player’s] memories and special goods “will make the journey back, which fans have already caught. Speculate about a time-based hook in Nightfall not unlike Major’s mask. That would be the very mixture of minds, if it is true.

Nightfall does not have a release date, but you will be able to play it with a copy of Dark Souls: Remastered.
