Fortnite’s the last season is coming to an end, but Chapter 2: Season 6 is ready to begin on March 16th. Unique to the popular battle royale, it begins with a special single-player narrative event called Zero Crisis Finale.

Described by Epic Games in a recent blog post, this event will cover the gap between season 5 and 6, showing “the conclusion of Agent Jones’ mission”. He is one who has seen iconic characters such as Terminator, Predator, Ryu and Chun-Li and Ripley and Queen Xenomorph.

Unlike previous events, which required players to log in at a certain time, Zero Crisis Finale begins when you first log in in season 6, allowing you to sign up when convenient. This could be a response to previous server issues, given the Galactus event in December 15.3 million players connect at the same time.

Epic Games has also confirmed plans to allow players to watch this live premiere online first, if they prefer. Calling it “our most ambitious cinematic story yet”, the details of the flow have not yet been confirmed, but we would expect them to appear soon.
