Marvel Studios has released a new trailer for Black Widow. The trailer follows Disney’s announcement that Black Widow was postponed in July for a joint release in theaters and Disney + via premier access. The July release comes two years after the last release of the Marvel Cinematic Universe movie, Spider-Man: Far From Home, in July 2019, while WandaVision and The hawk and the winter soldier on Disney + they have already offered new MCU stories in 2021. Black Widow is also a flashback in MCU continuity, rather than an extension, which occurs after Captain America: Civil Warevents, but before Avengers: Infinity War.

Announcing Black Widowthe most recent delay (as well Cruel‘s), Kareem Daniel, president, Disney Media & Entertainment Distribution, said in a press release, “Today’s announcement reflects the emphasis on providing choices to consumers and serving the evolving preferences of the public. Using a flexible distribution strategy in a dynamic market that is beginning to recover from the global pandemic, we will continue to use the best options to offer fans and families around the world the unparalleled story of the Walt Disney Company.
From his previous comments, Marvel fans are not the only ones eager to see Black Widow either in theaters or through Disney +. David Harbor plays the Red Guardian in the film and, during an Instagram Live video, the star expressed her desire to see the release of the film, either in cinemas or on Disney +.
“I am just looking forward to hearing from you Black Widow if we ever manage to release that film, “Harbor said.” I wish I could watch that movie too – you know I haven’t seen that movie. I saw a few things in ADR and it looks great. And I was also there when I filmed it and I’m very excited about it. But I would like to see it myself. Hell, I’d see Disney +. “
According to the synopsis, “In the action-packed spy thriller from Marvel Studios Black Widow, Natasha Romanoff aka Black Widow faces the darker parts of her register when a dangerous conspiracy with her past appears. Chased by a force that will stop at nothing to bring her down, Natasha must deal with her history as a spy and the broken relationships left behind long before she becomes vengeful. “
Cate Shortland directs Black Widow from a screenplay written by Eric Pearson based on the story of Jac Schaeffer and Ned Benson. The film stars Scarlett Johansson, who stars as Natasha Romanoff / Black Widow, with Florence Pugh, David Harbor, OT Fagbenle, William Hurt, Ray Winstone and Rachel Weisz.
