@ JJ2 There will always be comparisons. But I think a game like Death Stranding would have looked better as a PS5 release title, rather than a PS4 swan song.
Of course, if it turns out that PS5 is just a PS4 New Pro, meaning it plays all PS4 games, but also PS5 games – such as the New 3DS – then people won’t have to buy everything that’s released on the PS5, they can just keep playing PS4 games in 4k uprezed or whatever PS5 will do.
But there’s always added excitement from a new console release – I’ve never sold games like 1 2 Switch and Snipperclips with Zelda, none of which would sell very well now – and I think the excitement will help Death Stranding more rather than another stranger, Tomb Raider or God of War, who would only sell on his own.
And I didn’t want to beat Spiderman, only maybe last year or next year he could have received a few more awards, not having to fight GoW and RDR2. The first year of a new console is usually a bit barren – Switch changed it with Wii U games – and that would benefit DS more than other well-known games. New IPs are always a difficult sale, that’s why GoW, RDR2 and all the other endless sequels from Uncharted, Tomb Raider, AC etc.
