New Orleans Saints re-sign special teams, as JT Gray, on a two-year contract, says source

METAIRIE, La. – The New Orleans Saints have agreed to a two-year deal with the JT Gray special team and confirmed by a source.

Gray, who was named the second All Pro team in 2019, was scheduled to be a restricted free agent after initially signing as an indefinite free agent in the state of Mississippi in 2018. News of his agreement was first reported by the NFL Network.

The Saints special team units have been a big part of their success in the current four consecutive NFC South title race. But many of their core special team players are unlimited free agents this year, including Craig Robertson, Justin Hardee and Dwayne Washington.

The Saints will be severely restricted by the NFL’s low salary cap this year. In the next two weeks, they will have to get a $ 60-70 million projected space, through player launches, contract restructuring and expansions, among other ways.
