New Jersey gym owners offer free subscriptions to people who do not receive the COVID-19 vaccine.
Frank Trumbetti and Ian Smith, owners of Atilis Gym in Bellmawr, NJ, continued to push back on Tuesday against pandemic mitigation efforts with their new offer.
“In light @krispykreme offering free donuts for receiving the CVD shot, here at @TheAtilisGym we give free subscriptions to everyone who doesn’t get vaccinated, “Smith wrote in a tweet Tuesday.
“We believe in health – in the true way – exercise, a good diet, lots of vitamin D, zinc and a de-stressing environment,” he continued.

Krispy Kreme announced on Monday that anyone who could produce a valid COVID-19 vaccination card could receive an original glass donut “anytime, any day, even every day – until the rest of 2021.”
New Jersey gym owners have made headlines several times during the pandemic, prompting government regulations on coronavirus.
In August, a New Jersey district council voted to revoke the gym’s business license because of the brothers’ failure to comply with state mandates. The duo was also arrested in July for keeping their business open, despite a state order requiring the closure of indoor gyms.
“We all have the right to make a living. We all have the right to do what we want to do as Americans,” Trumbetti said in an August interview with CNN. “We are promised freedom. And they actually put such oppressive restrictions on us that it’s just unacceptable to us.”
The news comes as public health experts continue to encourage Americans to get vaccinated against coronavirus, warning that more than three-quarters of the population must be inoculated to gain immunity.
Several states, including Texas and Mississippi, have lifted restrictions on coronavirus, despite expert warnings that this could lead to an increase in vaccination efforts.
