Preliminary data from the TSE show that the New Ideas party is winning in at least 145 of the 262 municipalities in El Salvador, after the election day on February 28.
Yesterday, until 2 pm, the cyan party seemed to have won in 146 municipalities, but around 7 pm, with 100% of the revised records from the municipality of San Isidro, Morazán, the new ideas were overtaken by VAMOS, which managed this only mayor with 595 votes, 93 more than NI.

In the department of San Salvador, this party has the advantage in 18 out of 19 municipalities. Ayutuxtepeque being the only one that could have been retained by ARENA, since the mayor who requested re-election obtained 7,499 votes, exceeding 5,421 for New Ideas with 91.11% of the minutes processed.
In the department of La Libertad, Nuevas Ideas seems to have won 16 out of 22 municipalities. The rest are distributed to them: GANA (3), ARENA (2) and PCN (1). The municipalities in which ARENA has the advantage are Antiguo Cuscatlán and Jicalapa; while the municipalities in which GANA has the advantage are Sacacoyo, Huizúcar and Tepecoyo.
