Nets appear in the All-Star break

Kevin Durant won’t be joining the Nets anytime soon.

Durant will miss at least three more games and will not return until after the NBA All-Star break, the team announced on Friday. The determination of the need for a longer recovery period was made after a routine MRI follow-up examination of the left hamstring.

“The latest images have provided a clearer picture of the hamstring, and while we’re confident that Durant will return to full capacity, this extra recovery time will allow him to perform at the level he played this season once he returns. “The team said in a statement. “Durant will continue to undergo rehabilitation and will be re-evaluated after the break.”

Durant was supposed to serve as captain on March 7 in the NBA All-Star Game because he was the main recipient of Eastern Conference votes. That meant recruiting 12 players to the Durant team to play against a team designed by LeBron James. Pacers’ big man, Domantas Sabonis, will replace Durant in the All-Star team.

For the Nets, eight-time winners, Durant will miss games against the Mavericks, Spurs and Rockets before a possible March 11 return against the Celtics.
