Netflix ends its services on Wii U and 3DS

Nintendo has now removed the Netflix video app designed for the Wii U and 3DS from both eShops.

As of December 31, 2020, it can no longer be downloaded by new users. However, it is still possible for existing users to download the applications again at this time.

Service for the Wii U and 3DS will be discontinued later this year, on June 30, 2021. Here is Nintendo’s full message on its website:

“It simply came to our notice thenSt., 2020, the Netflix application will no longer be available for downloading new users from the Nintendo eShop to the Wii U console or the Nintendo 3DS family of systems. During this time, it will be possible for existing users to download these applications again. The service for existing users will continue until June 30of, 2021. Thanks to everyone who has enjoyed Netflix on these platforms over the years. “
