Nelson Cruz’s signature with the Minnesota Twins falls

One of the veterans the most productive in MLB in the last few seasons without a doubt was the Dominican Nelson Cruz, who in his role of hitter designated managed to put very good numbers, especially during his time with the Minnesota twins, where he went the crime with the most at home in the last two years.

Although Minnesota is the most favored team to re-sign the 40-year-old veteran, it looks like Cruz is returning to Gemini because, according to information from Velle E. Neal III, the Dominican has already received two offers from Gemini: one at the beginning of the free agency who was withdrawn a few weeks after receiving no response and another during the holidays.

Neal mentions that Nelson Cruz and his agent did not accept Minnesota’s contractual offers, because they still hope that the designated player will be implemented in the National League, and after the second offer, the negotiations between both parties were cooled.

However, the twins remain the main team interested in Nelson Cruz, with no other franchise showing as much interest in the Dominicans as the twins themselves.

In two years in Minnesota, Cruz played 157 games with 57 homers, averaging .307, 141 RBI, 1,020 OPS and 6.2 WAR.
