Necaxa denies the possible sale of the club to Red Bull

Two sources assured ESPN that there are no negotiations for a possible sale of the hydrocálido club

Two sources close to Necaxa told ESPN that negotiations with Red Bull were false, according to versions that indicated discussions between the club Liga BBVA MX and the Austrian beverage company.

The red bull brand has a presence in the football world within Bundesliga, MLS, as well as in Austria and Brazil, for which rumors began about a possible third team on the American continent, however, sources within the institution confirmed that there are no negotiations.

It should be noted that, in addition to its football teams, the Austrian company is part of Formula 1 with The Red Bull Racing team, who recently signed the Mexican pilot Sergio “Checo” Pérez to mate with Dutchman Max Verstappen.

In 2014, a group of investors led by Ernesto Tinajero and Guillermo Cantú finalized the agreement with Televisa to purchase the equipment, after the transaction was agreed a few months ago, but had to be approved by the Federal Telecommunications Institute.

From that new stage, Hidrorayos, which was in the late Ascent MX, climbed the maximum circuit in the 2015-16 Season and won the 2018 MX Clausura Cup, as well as the MX Super Cup in the 2017-18 campaign.
