Nearly 100 Apple stores closed again, including all stores in California

Apple closed all its stores in California this weekend, including those in the San Francisco Bay Area, after it began closing stores in Los Angeles on Friday.

All California retail outlets have a notice notifying customers that stores are temporarily closed, although some allow you to take orders and schedule great bars by December 22nd. It is not known when the stores will reopen, but will remain closed during the holidays.

Apple has closed stores in California as COVID cases in the state have continued to grow, and stores elsewhere in the world are also closing right now. Conformable 9to5Mac, there are almost 100 Apple stores that are not operational at this time.

Tennessee stores were closed this weekend, and stores under Tier 4 restrictions in the UK are closing as of today. 18 stores in Germany and the Netherlands closed last week, and stores in Mexico and Brazil close this weekend.

In most stores that are still open in the United States, Apple operates in a limited “Express” capacity, allowing for great bar pickups and appointments, but not in-store shopping and browsing.

Apple began closing retail locations earlier this year and many of its stores were closed for months in the spring. Apple began reopening stores in June, but said stores could close again depending on local guidelines and conditions. 400 stores are still open.

In all stores, Apple requires face masks, limits store occupancy, performs temperature checks, implements social distancing measures, and cleans thoroughly on a regular basis.
