NASA | Perseverance makes the first audio recording on Mars

GODMOTHER released the first audio recording made in Mars due to the mission Perseverance on the planet.

In accordance with GODMOTHER, rover Perseverance managed to record these sounds on February 19 this year, 18 hours after successfully landing on the surface Mars.

According to the space agency, the rover’s mast was holding the microphone Supercam, it was still stored on the cover Perseverance, so the sound is muffled, a bit like the sound you hear when you listen to a shell or hold a hand over your ear. You hear only a little wind.

Perseverance He also managed to capture the first acoustic recording of the impacts of laser beams on a stone target in Mars.
