This is the first seizure of drugs by boat recorded this year, in 2020 the seizures were not many compared to previous years.
According to police data, between January and December 2020, they confiscated 2,933.5 kilograms of various types of drugs, with a value of 48,530,908.03 USD.

The largest seizure in the current government was one in October last year, which, according to authorities, was 1.2 tons of cocaine, valued at $ 30 million.
One of the seizures (820 kilograms) was in a truck that had crossed the El Amatillo border in La Unión; the other cargo detected was 320 kilograms in a truck on the highway in the Zacatecoluca area of La Paz.
