Paul, the husband of speaker Nancy Pelosi, has just revealed the purchase of over $ 1 million in shares
AllianceBernstein Holding,
a global investment firm.
Paul Pelosi bought 15,000 AllianceBernstein shares (ticker: AB) on February 18, then bought an additional 25,000 shares on February 23, according to a form submitted by Speaker Pelosi on March 9. Each transaction was valued at between $ 500,000 and $ 1 million. No specific figures are required for disclosure, only intervals.
Paul Pelosi and the Speaker Pelosi office did not respond to requests for comment on share acquisitions.
Paul Pelosi, a businessman and private investor, would not usually be required to report transactions publicly. However, civil servants, spouses and dependent children must report financial transactions in excess of $ 1,000, usually within 30 days.
Paul Pelosi had bought 20,000 AllianceBernstein shares in December. It seems that it was a new investment, because he had no shares at the end of 2019, he had no other transactions in that action in 2020.
AllianceBernstein stock gained 11.6% last year compared to a 16.3% increase in
S&P 500 Index,
a large measure of the market. However, by 2021, AllianceBernstein shares had risen by 14.3%, while the index had risen by 5.0%.
