After his arrest in 2017, a grand jury charged Tyler with each first-degree rape and second-degree kidnapping. “However, additional evidence and information were found, and the case was referred to this second grand jury in the interests of justice,” the prosecutor’s office noted on Thursday. “Based on the grand jury’s decision, District Attorney Caddo Parish’s office will dismiss the pending charges against Mr. Tyler.”
