Being one of the pioneers in making live mixes, Juan Carlos Cuello García, better known as the Musical Locomotive, won the affection of the audience that follows him for his fine selection of musical hits, walking through the various rhythms mainly tropical.
According to a press release, the young man from Barahona who lives in the United States never imagined that his worries about innovation in mixes would have such a boom and now he is starting to see the fruits of his arduous journey. In this pandemic situation, he has established himself as the absolute owner of Lives on Instagram of various genres that even include romantic music, getting a number of sponsors in each broadcast.
He is currently in the Dominican Republic, exhausting an extensive tour of media presentations and visits, where he will share with his followers about his beginnings and history in the industry after going through various entertainment units.
The owner of an undeniable international fame, he is listed as the most recognized DJ in Puerto Rico, St. Marteen, Miami, San Thomas, Aruba and before the pandemic had several tours scheduled in Europe, Houston, Texas, Colombia and Santo Domingo, where he will set a record for a resident DJ abroad with 34 shows in 30 days.
He has a team of Dioscoride Castillo, David Sonido, Henry Solano, Alberto Tamares-Poyaco Graf and Rubén Jiménez, who support his career and bet on his versatility.
About the Music Locomotive
From an early age he enjoyed music, which was taught by his uncle Manuel Eligio García. He started as a musician at the age of 15 and was nicknamed “El Maestrico”. At the age of 18 he started as a DJ at the Orlando nightclub in the Herrera sector, on that occasion thanks to the support of DJ O’Neal who at that time was one of the best DJs in Santo Domingo.
He created a close relationship with several artists, including Maceo, Shelow Shaq, Chiquito Timbal, Julián Oro Duro, Quique Mangú, Omega and others, with whom he shared in various presentations. He ventured into the Disco Light business, from where he transcended as Musical Locomotive, a name that allowed him to gain popularity.
For a time he worked as a taxi driver, which motivated his followers to call him “The Music Taxi Driver”, a young entrepreneur who had a Disco-Light, was a taxi driver and DJ at the same time, experienced professional in major alcoholic beverage companies in the country.
After coming to live in New York, his mixes were uploaded by his friend DJ Tapa, who served as one of his employees. These mixes began to be shared on digital platforms, gaining a big boom, managing to penetrate as a DJ in some discos in NY, such as O’Side, Marbella, Lucky7, Sabana Lounge, Krystal, El Tropical, among others, and he recorded works every night, plus accompanying those who follow him to the disco for his particular form of animation.
