Lolo Jones does not quietly leave MTV’s “Challenge”.
Olimpiana made a long dispute against the reality show after she was seen giving up the competition during Wednesday’s episode.
“The MTV challenge forced me to give up, and that’s it,” Jones wrote on Twitter on Thursday. “I have never given up on anything in my life. Heck, I’m one of the oldest bc olympics, I don’t give up, I was pulled aside before the show and I was told to make it look like I had to leave.
Jones, 38, left “Challenge: Double Agents” after having a conversation with the other contestants and saying goodbye. Jones, who competed in both the athletics and bobsled Olympics, said he needs to leave to focus more on training.
And this extra training time was apparently well spent. Jones won his first career bobsled competition earlier this month at the IBSF World Skeleton and Bobsleigh Championships in Germany.
However, it is safe to say that loyal viewers of “Challenge” were not kind enough to give up the show. And she thus revealed that reality TV is – pant! – not entirely real.
“There are so many secrets that are not known to viewers,” wrote Jones, who appeared in the past seasons of the long-running show. “I hope people remember the challenge is not a real competition, but a TV show. It doesn’t display the full picture, but it’s fun. So before you write hate messages, you know you’re a judge and a juror without complete evidence
“The good news is that I didn’t leave, I wouldn’t have made the US Bobsled team. I would have missed the team interrupted by 2 days! If I hadn’t made the team, I wouldn’t be a world champion. So, in the end, God leads our way. God knows how hard I struggled to stay after meetings with producers “
It is unclear why MTV would force Jones to resign and the network did not comment on the allegations.
