José Mourinho, Tottenham Hotspur’s coach, criticized Gareth Bale for assuring, via Instagram, on Tuesday, that he was physically ready to play, even if he could not be against Everton later due to a muscle problem.
The Welsh player posted a photo last Tuesday in which he wrote that it was a good training session, but earlier that Monday, he requested a scan for discomfort and, after the training session, he still felt uncomfortable.
The scan showed no injuries, but Bale was not part of the team that lost to Everton in the round of 16 of the FA Cup.
