A family in India experienced the worst moment of their lives after a group of monkeys entered their home and took two eight-day-old twin sisters.
The incident took place on February 13 in the city of Thanjavur, in the state of Tamil Nadu, indicated the India Today portal.
Buvaneswari, the girls’ mother, reported that the animals apparently raised the boards to enter the house and robbed the girls when they slept.

At first, she said she was just surprised and started screaming when she realized that a group of monkeys were on the roof of her house.
However, he did not know that his daughters had disappeared, the local press details.
But upon learning of the girls’ absence, the woman began to cry and the neighbors ran to help her in the desperate search.
According to the news portal, one of the babies was found alive on the roof of the house, but they had not yet found the place where the other.
Only later, the other twin was found “in a nearby body of water” and was pronounced dead by a team of doctors who arrived at the scene.
Police have launched an investigation into the matter, local media added.
