Moderna expects to deliver 300 million doses of COVID-19 vaccine by the end of July

provided an update on the supply of its COVID-19 vaccine on Tuesday, saying it expects to deliver 100 million doses to the US government by the end of March. The company said it has moved the expected delivery of the second dose of 100 million doses by the end of May from the end of June and the third 100 million doses by the end of July, from the end of September . To date, the company has said it has administered 45.4 million doses of its vaccine, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said it has administered about 25.5 million doses of the vaccine. The Moderna vaccine requires two doses, separated by a few weeks. Moderna said it did not intend to store significant quantities of doses to smooth shipments, as it chose to deliver doses to the government as they were produced. Moderna shares, which rose 0.1% in premarket trading, rose 87.6% in the last three months to Friday, while the S&P 500 SPX,
