Modern COVID vaccine causes swelling, inflammation in patients who have facial cosmetic fillers

The FDA Advisory Committee that reviewed the new Moderna vaccine noticed a specific side effect involving several process participants who have facial cosmetic fillers.

Dr. Shirley Chi, a dermatologist certified by the local council, explains what the FDA committee noted.

“In these cases, all patients had swelling and inflammation in the area where the filling was administered. Some of the patients had cheek filling six months before the vaccine and one patient had lip filling done two days after the vaccine. They were all treated with steroids and antihistamines and all their reactions resolved, “she said.

Millions of people gave the doctor facial cosmetic fillers to smooth fine lines, wrinkles and to enhance the cheeks and lips. Chi says the reaction to the vaccine is immunological.

“Your immune system, which causes inflammation, is invigorated when you receive a vaccine, that’s how it should work. So it makes sense that you would see an immune response in certain areas where I see a substance that is not a natural substance in your body, “says Chi.

Chi also says not to let this stop you from taking the vaccine when it’s your turn and that all dermal filling reactions have been easily treated by medical staff.
