We miss Skyloft. Of all the cities Link has ever lived in, he was certainly the most floating. The Waikuteru Wild Breath Mode – which you remember from the renovation of Link’s House, turning it from a “garbage hut” into an “effective functional home” or the discovery of an unused altar – has just made a discovery and involves everyone in the game. favorite based on Zelda movement.
In a new video, Waikuteru shows how moderates can actually edit the world above in Breath of the Wild, which could mean … anything, really. Create a DOOM level in Hyrule. Build a cafe and invite all your favorite horses. Create a twenty-foot statue of Link taking his nose. The possibilities are endless!
To demonstrate this new power, Waikuteru took Skyloft, the home town of Skyward Sword, and threw it into play. And it seems really Well, folks.
Waikuteru added some sweet touches to Skyloft as well, such as Korok who runs a mushroom shop in the Bazaar or the massive stone pillar that boots Link back to earth, but what’s better is to see the watercolor world of Skyward Sword with superb lighting of Breath of the Wild.
As for exactly where Skyloft is, a little more explanation is needed.
“There are 4 worlds accessible in Breath of the Wild,” Waikuteru says in the video. First, there is MainField, which is the normal oversized world. Then there is the CDungeon, which is where all the altars are. There is MainFieldDungeon, where the Divine Beasts and the Final Trial take place. Finally, there is AocField, which is a new world that was added with the Master DLC Master Trial.
MainField has 80 map sections, all of which are used. AocField also has 80, but uses only 5, leaving the other 75 empty and free to use. Skyloft has been placed in one of these, which also means that everything around it is just a big empty grass plan. A plain plane, if you will.
Waikuteru even shows the DLC areas running and sliding towards them, demonstrating the musical and lighting changes that take place when it reaches the limit. There are even some strange, unused, newly developed areas that consist of a small, grassy circle surrounded by water. It is unclear what they were meant to be, but Waikuteru theorizes that they were probably meant to be supply chambers.
The video definitely deserves a watch for anyone interested in the behind the scenes of game development, as well as how Nintendo games look without their clothes. Moreover, the ability to add new areas in Breath of the Wild could lead to some really interesting ways to come soon.
