MLB: The Rangers surpass everyone and sign the Japanese Kohei Arihara

Saturday at 17:00 ET is the deadline for Right-handed Japanese jug, Kohei Arihara, decide, after you were introduced to the postal system on November 26th. According to Mark Feinsand of MLB.com, The 28-year-old Japanese serpentine player has reached a two-year deal and a value between 6-7 million USD with the Rangers.

Texas had a combined 5.32 ERA among its starting players in 2020; the seventh worst in the majority. The team changed its best pitcher, Lance Lynn, to the White Sox on December 8th.

The MLB and Professional League of Japan positions system offers 30 major league teams 30 days to negotiate with the 28-year-old, who has spent his entire career in his country’s league, with Hokkaido Nippon- Ham Fighters.

If Arihara decides to sign with a major league team, that team will have to pay a fee for the fighters. If he does not reach an agreement, he will remain in Japan and will not be able to enter the postal system until the next off-season.

Arihara had an ERA of 3.46 in 20 games with the Fighters in 2020, recording 106 hits in 132.2 innings. He sold 161 opponents in 164.1 innings in 2019, when he posted an ERA of 2.46 in 24 games.

Arihara has four and two stitches in her repertoire, according to reports from researchers at Sports Info Solutions. Both reached the bottom of 90 mph, while their pitch of attack is the divider. In addition, it has the slider, shift and curve, using the latter against left-handers.

The Padres, Red Sox and Rangers were reportedly the finalists for Arihara, according to the San Diego Union Tribune and Japanese media.
