MLB Show 21 players love the surprise feature

MLB Show 21 is available today for early access for those who purchased the Jackie Robinson edition of the PlayStation and Xbox. As such, players are starting to sink their teeth into what this year’s iteration of the game offers. And while sports games may have a bad reputation because they’re just the same old game every year, it seems MLB Show 21 added a small feature to which many longtime fans are already receptive.

This new feature in question involves running home, of all things. In the past, whenever you ran into a house MLB Show game, if you want to provide additional details on how far you are in the ball and the speed of exit from the bat, you should interrupt the game and go to the information in the replay section. For online matches, this can sometimes be particularly annoying, as you will have to interrupt the game for your opponent. Fortunately, Sony San Diego has added a very small quality of life improvement in MLB Show 21 which now gives you this data when the actual home run is hit.

This might seem like an insignificant adjustment in the grand scheme of things, but many MLB Show 21 players are already excited to see this. A post on Reddit, which you can find above, was full of responses from many players excited to see that it has been added to this year’s edition. One user described him as a “big W”, while others said his addition would now make him no longer appear to be trolling an online opponent, interrupting the game after a round at home to watch the replay.

While MLB Show 21 It may already be available to some, with the game fully released next week on April 20th. This year, the game will be released on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X platforms. Also, next week will be an addition to the Xbox Game Pass.
