Millie Bobby Brown will star in the upcoming adaptation of the graphic novel The Electric State

It looks like Millie Bobby Brown and The Russo Brothers will soon intersect.

On Friday, it was announced that Universal Pictures had acquired the rights for the future adaptation of the graphic novel The Electric State, according to Deadline.

The directing duo Avengers: Endgame is directed for both directing and producing the feature film under their AGBO production banner.

Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely, who previously collaborated with siblings on several Marvel movies, are set to write the screenplay for the project.

The production is based on the 2018 graphic novel, which was written and illustrated by Simon Stalenhag.

The brothers first acquired property production rights in 2017, and director Andy Muschietti was scheduled to direct the film, but had to give up due to other commitments; will continue to serve as a producer, along with his sister Barbara.

The 16-year-old actress will portray a teenager who was sent a robot by her missing brother and embarks on an adventure highlighted by the unraveling of a conspiracy.

Although the story involves robotic characters, Markus noted that the film will still have a human doubt, saying that: “This is a very human story about a teenager with all the powers of a teenager and nothing more. ‘

The Russians issued a statement on Universal’s commitment to filmmaking, saying: “This is incredible news for us, as directors, and for audiences around the world who want the opportunity to experience movies in cinemas again.”

The film crew also spoke about the resurgence of cinemas as a result of ongoing efforts to combat COVID-19, as they noted: “This is also a positive sign that as vaccines become available, the theater market is returning.” .

As both the Russians and the Brown already have packaged programs, the film is not projected to begin production by the end of 2021 at the latest.

The brothers will direct the upcoming adaptation of the 2009 thriller novel The Gray Man, written by Mark Grearney.

Ana de Armas, Chris Evans and Ryan Gosling will appear in the project, and production will begin next month.

Brown’s future plans include filming the upcoming fourth season of the hit Netflix series Stranger Things, which resumed production in September after the onset of the forced pandemic to stop filming.

He will also play and will play the role of executive producer of the fantastic film Damsel, which will be released on the streaming service.
