Millennium match rated for Nintendo Switch

Do you believe in miracles?

Some great news for SNK’s Neo Geo Pocket Color Selection fans, as one of the coolest portable fighters of all time, SNK vs. Capcom: Match of the Millennium, was rated for the Nintendo Switch by The Game Rating and Administration Committee in Korea.

Originally launched in the winter of 1999, The Millennium Match was SNK’s ambitious effort to reduce the action of headlines such as the size of the bumper Capcom Vs. SNK for its humble portable device, the Neo Geo Pocket Color. Amazingly, the experiment was a success, which led to a nice large fighter, who sees the legends of both square marks for a round of fists.

Street Fighter’s Ryu, Ken, Sakura and Chun-Li; King of Fighters’ Iori, Terry Bogard and Mai; Samurai Shodown’s Nakoruru and Haohmaru; even Darkstalkers’ Morrigan, Felicia and BB Hood all show up with The Millennium Match offering traditional SNK team options, as well as boss characters, unlockable fighters and secret stages. If all that wasn’t enough, there are some fun attack-score mini-games based on titles like Metal Slug and Ghouls n ‘Ghosts.

Although, obviously, it’s not as deep as your average console fighter SNK vs. Capcom: The Millennium Match it is, in many ways, one of the biggest versions of SNK – a title that really takes advantage of the least, going beyond and beyond squeezing every drop of power available from its home platform. Concerns have been raised that licensing could prevent the relaunch of this title, and as such, it is good news that this long-lost fighter will be given the opportunity to shine once again.
