Mick Foley tests positive for COVID-19

Hall of Famer, Mick Foley, tested positive for COVID-19.

Foley took to Twitter tonight and announced that he came with the coronavirus after a recent virtual signing. He’s been quarantined in a hotel room for the past 18 days.

“I tested positive for COVID after a virtual signing in December and have been isolated in a hotel room for the past 18 days. Please continue to take this virus seriously – mask yourself, social distance, look for one on another. I wish you all a happy and healthy new year, “Foley wrote.

Foley mentioned in his video that he participated in a virtual signing on Saturday, December 18th. He said there were two more people in the room with him, both of whom had masks on him, but Foley took it to help sign. One of the men in the room showed symptoms later that night and reported them to Foley. Foley added that he waited 5 days before being tested and has been in the hotel ever since.

Foley said his symptoms of COVID-19 include body aches, odor loss, impaired hearing and mild fatigue. He said one of the worst parts is missing family holidays, including Christmas Eve, Christmas Eve, New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Eve. Foley asked people to take the coronavirus very seriously. He acknowledged that he could have done better in complying with the COVID-19 guidelines, especially after being so determined about the people wearing their masks.

Foley also revealed that he dramatically reduced his work during the pandemic, as in the last 11 months he has worked only 2 reality TV shows, 4 virtual signatures, 2 personal appearances and WWE Survivor Series pay-per-view for the “Final Farewell” segment of the funeral home. He mentioned that in those 11 months he had 12 tests for coronavirus.

The positive diagnosis of Foley COVID-19 is probably the reason why WWE did not announce it for Monday’s edition of RAW’s Legends Night.

This is the second time Foley has quarantined himself since the pandemic hit. I noticed in April how Foley announced that he would send free videos to fans as a way to help spread positive energy in the early days of the coronavirus pandemic. Foley then remarked that he was self-isolating and would not be able to reunite with his family for several weeks due to COVID-19 concerns.
