Chadwick Boseman made history this week when he received four Screen Actors Guild Award nominations for a year of work.
And Michael B. Jordan honored the amazing achievement of his late friend on Friday on Instagram with photos from the critically acclaimed Da 5 Bloods and Black Rain films by Ma Rainey.
Actor Creed was amazed, writing “4. Still setting the bar above.

Boseman was 43 years old when he died on August 28, 2020, following a four-year battle with colon cancer.
The Black Panther star was diagnosed with stage III colon cancer in 2016 and subsequently progressed.
At the time of diagnosis, Boseman had already filmed his first appearance as T’Challa in Captain America: Civil War in 2016 and will continue to play the Black Panther in his 2018 blockbuster film, while resuming the role in Avengers: Infinity War later in that year and again in Avengers: End Game in 2019, which became his final film as a superhero from Wakanda.

His sequel, the 21 Bridges police thriller, received mixed reviews and poor box office performance, but his supporting role as a soldier fighting in Vietnam for Spike Lee’s Netflix’s Da 5 Bloods brought him some of the best reviews of his career.
The film, which tracks the impact of the Vietnam War on a group of black veterans, currently has a fresh 92% rating for Rotten Tomatoes.
Boseman’s latest film was an adaptation of August Wilson’s Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom, which was released on Netflix in November.
His performance again received strong praise from critics.
In addition to the record number of SAG nominations, Boseman also received her first Golden Globe nomination for Rainey’s Black Car, having previously been nominated for a NAACP Image Award, Gotham Award and Indie Spirit Award for the same role.

Shortly after Boseman’s team revealed his death on social media in August, Jordan shared some of his thoughts about his costly Black Panther.
“I thought of every moment, every conversation, every laugh, every disagreement, every hug … everything. I wish we had more time, ‘he wrote.
“Lately, when you spoke, you said that we are bound forever, and now the truth of this means more to me than ever,” he continued.
“You showed me how to be better, honor the goal and create a legacy. And whether you knew it or not … I watched, I learned and I was constantly motivated by your greatness … Everything you gave to the world … the legends and heroes you showed us that we are … they will live forever. ‘

Jordan played the villain Killmonger in Black Panther and was a hit with fans and critics who praised him for his ability to create a fine antagonist.
The Creed star has already completed work on her next film, No Remorse, which is based on the 1993 thriller Tom Clancy.
He will also start directing with Creed III, which he will play with Tessa Thompson.
