Michael B. Jordan still mourns the loss of Chadwick Boseman, but is open to returning as Killmonger in the Black Panther franchise
The sudden and premature death of actor Chadwick Boseman in 2020 has left a lot of questions about where the Black Panther franchise will go.
Michael B. Jordan, who played the villain of the film, Killmonger, revealed People Magazine that he is open to reprise the role in future films in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
The 33-year-old star also opened up about the loss of her friend and former co-star and said she was still in mourning.

When asked about Boseman’s death at the age of 44, Jordan was honest about how hard it was to do.
“It’s something that is very, very close and dear to my heart for many obvious reasons,” he said. ‘[I] I had a very hard year losing someone close to me. And what that means for that franchise is devastating.
“But being in that world in a character I liked to play and work with [writer/director Ryan Coogler] and all good things, it’s family. We created a family there, “Jordan explained.
Adding: “So being able to be in that world again is something that, I think, will always be on the table with a certain capacity.”

Boseman died of stage IV colon cancer in August, which was first diagnosed in 2016, although it was never publicly revealed until after his death.
Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige has said they will not use a Chadwick Boseman CG, nor will they repeat another actor like King T’challa. As for Jordan’s Killmonger, there are no plans for him to return, but rumors suggest it’s a possibility.
