Well, the gifts are starting to come and keep coming. The latest free game on the Epic Game Store is Metro 2033 Redux, the revamped version of the scary shooter set in post-apocalyptic Soviet subways. The game was already a good time in 2010, then Redux in 2014 imagined its appearance and improved bits like stealth, so yes, it’s worth getting.

You have until Wednesday at 16:00 (8:00 Pacific) Wednesday to take the Metro 2033 Redux free for shepherds from the Epic Games store. After that, another game will take its place for free in the 15 free days of Epic Holiday Sale. That’s worth catching.

If you’ve played the original and are wondering if it’s worth going through this freebie again, check out our Metro Redux review.

“In particular, the 2033 Redux stealth is now blessed with more stealth,” said Chris Livingston. “Just because an enemy detects evidence of your sinking does not mean that each of them will know mentally where to identify you from then on. Even after a stealth escape, you have the chance to melt into the shadows and reposition yourself or quickly neutralize the enemies who saw you before you can alert others. This makes it sneak more satisfying, and AI is both better and more forgiving. “

Make sure you get the free Brigador from GOG as well. That gift lasts until Christmas day.
