Buckingham Palace is horrified that Meghan Markle will say bad things about Kate Middleton in Sunday’s interview with Oprah Winfrey – but sources tell The Post that the duchess is only offering “kind words” to her sister-in-law at the bomb’s otherwise headquarters.
Markle, disappointing Middleton – and revealing the dirty details of their notorious ruptures – is feared as something that would cause “huge” damage to the British monarchy, the British newspaper Sun reported on Saturday.
A frightened source even described the interview as equivalent to a “nuclear option” for Markle, Sun reported.
But a source familiar with Oprah’s interview, which aired on Sunday, tells The Post that Buckingham Palace has nothing to worry about.
Meghan and Prince Harry had only “kind words” about Prince William and Kate, a CBS post told The Post, denying that the Oprah settlement would expose the extent of any rupture between the quartet.
However, the royal spectators are anxiously awaiting any bomb that might fall in Middleton’s way, especially given Markle’s sincere dissatisfaction with his time in Britain, which he will describe as “almost lifeless”.
“If he chose to speak honestly about his time with Kate, the damage that could be done to the monarchy is great,” royal sources told The UK Sun.
“She has the power to reveal how bad things were between her, Harry, William and Kate.”
During the marathon discussion, Markle is expected to discuss the breakdown of his relationship with his father Thomas Markle, who did not even attend the royal wedding.
