Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, wore a sentimental gem in her new interview with Oprah Winfrey: a diamond bracelet that belonged to Prince Harry’s late mother, Princess Diana.
Meghan can be seen wearing the tennis bracelet from Diana’s personal collection during the bomb interview, which aired Sunday night on CBS. Diana wore the bracelet to several public appearances before her death in 1997.
It’s the same bracelet that Harry previously wore with two stones to create Meghan’s engagement ring, a CBS News spokesman confirmed.
“It’s beautiful and she designed it. It’s incredible,” Meghan said afterward he proposed in 2017. “Obviously I couldn’t meet his mother, it’s so important for me to know that she’s part of this with us.”

Sunday’s interview marks Meghan and Prince Harry’s first major TV appearance since he was officially leaving their roles in the royal family. They said he would have stayed if he had received support from the royal family.
The Duke of Sussex made several comparisons with his wife and late mother, citing her experiences as one of the reasons for the couple’s move to California.
“I think she would feel very upset about how she was doing and very sad, but in the end, all she would ever want is to be happy,” Harry told Oprah about his separation from his family.
“I brought what my mother left me,” he continued. “And without that, we wouldn’t have been able to do that, so touching on what my mother would think about it, I think she saw it coming. I certainly felt her presence throughout this process.”

He added: “My biggest concern has been history.”
Harry also revealed that he will always love his father, Prince Charles, but he is “disappointed” by him. As for his brother, Prince William, Harry said he “loves him to the end,” but “we are on different paths.”
The couple announced that they are expecting a second child on Valentine’s Day, exactly 37 years after Princess Diana announced her pregnancy, but waited until the interview to reveal the sex of the child: A girl.
