The illustration of the article entitled Lexus IS 500 F Sport Performance Launch Edition shows the power that some changes can have when revitalizing a car

In February, Lexus announced that its V8 engine was not dying yet. The 2022 IS 500 F Sport Performance filled the brand’s V8-shaped hole, and the resulting car looked like an absolute winner. But now the brand is taking things a step further with its limited edition release, which it launched on Friday.

Now, it is important to note that this vehicle with limited traffic is not huge different from what will become the production model. But the changes I make It has made for this race of 500 cars are gorgeous and even show what impact a handful of changes can have on a car. And we, the lucky ducks here in North America, will be the only people who will have the opportunity to buy this model.

The main difference here is the exterior color scheme, which is called Incognito. This shade of gray will be exclusive to the Launch edition and, although I’m not normally a big fan of soft shades for cars, this color is actually a bit neat. I don’t really know how to describe it. It’s almost matte in the way it absorbs light, but it still retains a gorgeous, bright reflection that makes me think you could see your face reflected back into it. Some sit downwhbetween a more traditional gray and a white. And because it is a color on paper with soft sounds, it translates nicely into photos. I’ve heard it’s even better in real life.

Here are the specifications and some of the big changes:

  • 472 horsepower, 5.0-liter V8 with 395 pound-feet of torque
  • 19-inch, seven matte black spokes BBS wheels
  • Bmissing and gray Ultrasuede to cut the seats, the doors, and center console
  • Silver ash wood cutting on the steering wheel
  • Serialized board on the dashboard showing your car number

These models do not yet have a price tag, but will be delivered later this year, probably in the fall.

Now all Lexus has to do is learn the value in a simplified name.
