McDonald’s China launches Oreo, the spam burger for a limited time

Here’s a mix that no one asked for.

McDonald’s will launch a Spam burger with Oreos in China next week.

The fast food chain announced the menu item with a limited duration on the Chinese social networking platform Weibo earlier this week.

On Friday, video game analyst Daniel Ahmad wrote on Twitter pictures of the burger “Oreo x Spam”, which shows a layer of crushed Oreos on top of two slices of Spam.

According to Ahmad’s tweet, McDonald’s produces only 400,000 unique burgers.

“Look, I saw that, so you have to see it too,” Ahmad wrote on Twitter. “I’m sorry, that’s how it works.”

It is unknown whether McDonald’s will bring a unique blend to the United States. However, the chain brought its McRib sandwich back to national menus earlier this month.

The sandwich has been sold in certain locations over the years, but this is the first nationwide launch since 2012. McRib is also available for a limited time.
