Poor Marvel’s avengers can’t take a break, can they? This week was supposed to be its big state-of-the-art relaunch, with new Hawkeye content scheduled to be released alongside it – instead, anything anyone can talk about how bad the PlayStation 5 update procedure is. on social media is tiringly excessive – but clearly this is an area that Sony could and should improve.
In defense of Square Enix, we had no problem finding the PS5 version on PS store and downloading it – which is more than can be said for Yakuza: Like a Dragon and Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time, both of which are erroneous at launch for existing PS4 owners. The biggest problem for Avengers Marvel – or certainly the thing that has the goat of the internet – is how it saves transfer files.
For those of you who have played games like Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales and Sackboy: A Big Adventure, it’s a familiar process: upload your save from the PS4 version and download it to the PS5 version. Obviously, this should be much cleaner – Xbox Series X | It automatically transfers your progress – but we believe that people who do this as a kind of destruction procedure are wise.
However, I’ve been waiting a long time for some updates to the PS5 firmware, which clearly came hot. Overall, we are pleased with many of the features and functions of the latest generation Sony console, it has only a few obvious oddities that could be related to simplification. We’re confident that by the end of the year, the system will be in a much more orderly place – in the meantime, make sure you’ve booked a few extra minutes to transfer your PS4 save if you plan to play Marvel Avengers.
