Martin Scorsese throws Lily Gladstone as Leonardo DiCaprio’s wife in the original Apple Killers Of The Flower Moon
Filming will begin this spring, with Martin Scorsese winning the female lead for his long-awaited film Killers of The Flower Moon.
The veteran director turned to actress Lily Gladstone, 34, to star alongside Robert De Niro and Leonardo DiCaprio in the film based on a true story Original Apple movie, Variety reported on Thursday.
It’s a major breakthrough for Gladstone, which is relatively unknown, with roles in just a handful of productions, including the 2016 independent drama Certain Women and the 2019 Showtime Billions series.

Killers Of The Flower Moon is adapted from the best-selling book of the same name by David Grann about the brutal crimes of the Native American Osage Nation in Oklahoma in the 1920s.
The murders became known as the Kingdom of Terror and became one of the first major cases to be investigated by the newly formed FBI.
The killings began after oil was found on land belonging to the Osage nation.
Based on a true story: Scorsese directs the drama about the brutal crimes of the American natives of the Osage nation in Oklahoma in the 1920s, after the oil was discovered in their tribal lands.
Scorsese collaborators: Robert De Niro plays a powerful Oklahoma farmer, William Hale, while DiCaprio plays Hale’s nephew, Ernest Burkhart, who is married to a woman from Osage.

According to local media in Oklahoma, filming will take place from spring to late summer in Tulsa, Bartlesville and Osage County.
A virtual casting call for excerpt was announced last month.
The production is said to have an estimated budget of $ 200 million and will be Scorsese’s first film from the 2019 Netflix hit The Irishman.
