Trailer FrenzyA special place to find the latest movie and TV show trailers you can crave.

Imagine if his parents were famous superheroes… and then it’s time for you to watch family business. This is the premise Jupiter’s legacy, a new Netflix series that just released today a first action-packed trailer.

Created by Steven S. DeKnight (Smallville, Daredevil) and based on the comic book series Mark Millar and Frank Quitely (a nice nod on the side of the van), Jupiter’s legacy tells the story of the “first generation of superheroes in the world” as he tries to bring his children to the ranks that save the world. But living up to parental expectations is hard enough for anything child – much less the children of famous superheroes.

Plus, as this first trailer shows, there’s extra pressure from the whole world watching them trying to get into some pretty gigantic shoes – and the fact that those kids are all a bit resentful of their parents because they were MAI because of all those hero things while they were older.

Overall, the tone here looks pretty serious, despite the colorful outfits, explosive special effects and Josh Duhamel’s “aged” hairstyle. (We also already have a current series that digs into the whole “omg my dad is a superhero“Situation, but this seems a little more expansive than Superman and Lois so far.)

Jupiter’s legacy– which also plays Ben Daniels, Leslie Bibb, Elena Kampouris, Andrew Horton, Mike Wade, Matt Lanter and Ian Quinlan – arrives on Netflix on May 7.
