Mark Hamill is clearly good at keeping secrets (unlike his Star Wars Universe pal Pedro Pascal), but actor Luke Skywalker jerked right on the edge of a spoiler in his latest tweet.

If you are a Star Wars fan who likes to be surprised and you I’m not sure what it’s about, then don’t read now. If this does not describe you, please continue.

“The fact that I managed to keep my involvement a secret for over a year, without leaks, is nothing short of a miracle,” Hamill wrote on Twitter on Saturday. “A real triumph for spoiler-haters everywhere! #LooseLipsSinkStarships #STFU ” The tweet was a continuation of a more cryptic one he posted on Friday: “Have you seen anything good lately on TV?

Out of context, Hamill could talk about anything here. It could have been the surprise of the future Bachelorette final or a new member of Joe Biden’s cabinet. But, of course, this is not the case, and Hamill is referring to his improved computer appearance end of season two of Mandalorianul.

If you’ve come this far and you’re not one Mandalorian viewer or scroller on the internet, here is the essence: Hamill appeared in the last minutes of the Mandalorian season finale, which fell on Disney + on Friday. He was digitally aged to appear as Luke Skywalker would have just a few years later. The return of the Jedi. After a tearful farewell, the Mandalorian (Pedro Pascal) gave up the guardianship of the Child (aka Grogu) and sent him with Hamill’s Jedi to be instructed to use his gifts. It wasn’t the only potential spoiler to come out of Friday’s episode, but it was the biggest shock for sure.

Of course, Hamill did not explicitly give anything – and, technically, gave more than 24 hours for the superheroes to see the episode – but questions what is an appropriate timeline for discussions about spoilers. It’s something we often think about here AV Club, because we want to give people a place to discuss their thoughts about something without destroying it for others. Sometimes we’re probably too careful, other times we’ve been crazy. And when it comes to streaming, things get even more complicated.

Excuse us as we go with a ball and think about our spoiler policy …
