Lakitu finally takes center stage after decades of being Mario’s ruthless room type. Sure, there were times when he threw things at us from his cloud, but who can blame him? He never gets to join in the fun!
The theme of the New Year’s Tour 2021, which is already live Mario Kart Tour, seems to be “party”, which seems to look like a lot of glittering reflective surfaces and large hats. Together with Party Pauline, Party Toad and the Party Wing vehicle, Lakitu’s newest kart driver, he is dressed and ready to go on an extremely bright New Year’s shindig.
NintendoThere are some pretty nice details about the new additions, including a “2020” sign on the back of Pauline’s car, confetti in her hair and the little party hat on Toad’s head … or maybe he’s already wearing a hat? Let’s not think about it too much.
