Marc Anthony apologizes for the “total collapse” of the concert

Marc Anthony publicly apologized to fans on Sunday after what he called a “total collapse of the streaming platform” that was to show its virtual concert around the world over the weekend.

Anthony’s “One Night Only” show was promoted globally with a performance by Daddy Yankee. But Anthony later said that the “overwhelming demand” caused a major technological error that prevented the show from taking place.

The singer promised: “You can be sure that I am doing my best to make sure that people who have spent their hard-earned money have the opportunity to see the show as soon as possible and make it suitable for everyone. ”

Snafu aroused online complaints from disappointed fans and made Anthony a trending topic on Twitter when they couldn’t access the show.

The concert was scheduled to begin at 8:00 p.m. ET, Billboard reported, with about 100,000 tickets sold. It would be broadcast through Maestro, a platform that previously supported 2020 shows by Billie Eilish and Tim McGraw. But 90 minutes after the scheduled start time, Anthony posted on social media: “We are facing a delay.”

At 1:30 in the morning, the 52-year-old pop star said that the show is not taking place and apologized through social networks.

Maestro did not immediately return the request for comments.

Anthony recently participated in a recent InStyle cover story about his ex-wife Jennifer Lopez, telling the magic of his work ethic: “She is the first in the room and the last to leave. The hardest worker I’ve ever met. “I raised my eyebrows that the song included quotes from Anthony and another former J.Lo ex, Ben Affleck, but not Alex Rodriguez.

Shortly after the article, Lopez and A-Rod confirmed that they broke up – as reported exclusively by Page Six a month earlier.
