Manchester Memorial, Rockville General Cancels All COVID Vaccine Schedules Effective Feb. 4 – NBC Connecticut

Manchester Memorial Hospital and Rockville General Hospital cancel all COVID-19 vaccination schedules that were scheduled in VAMS as of February 4, 2021, due to lack of supply.

According to the Eastern Connecticut Health Network announcement, this is a temporary break in the operations of their vaccination clinic.

Those who received the first dose of vaccine at any of the locations and had a scheduled second dose scheduled should continue to arrive for that appointment.

Those who have scheduled an appointment via VAMS for or after February 4, 2021, can try to reschedule to an alternative location via the website.

ECHN said that those who need a second dose of Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna can be scheduled up to six weeks after the first dose, without restarting the series.

Other health systems, including UConn Health and Waterbury Hospital, also had to cancel appointments due to a lack of vaccines.

“We apologize to those affected by this cancellation and we want to assure you that we are making every effort to receive additional doses of COVID-19 vaccine in a timely manner. You understand that it is a temporary delay and we ask for your patience with the process, because the demand to receive the vaccine is high “, it is shown in a statement from the health system.
