President Venezuela, Nicolas Maduro, presented this Sunday a few drops that he described as “miraculous” and which, he said, neutralizes COVID-19 by 100% when used every four hours.
“After receiving the country’s official health permit, I can present the drug that neutralizes 100% of the coronavirus, Carvativir, better known as the miraculous drops of José Gregorio Hernández,” the president said in a televised speech in which he provided a balance sheet of the Venezuelan pandemic.
This treatment, he explained, is the product of several clinical, scientific and biological studies that lasted nine months and included experimentation in patients, moderate and severe, who, according to the president, always recovered from the disease due to these drops.
“Ten drops under the tongue, every four hours, and the miracle is done, is a powerful, very powerful antiviral that neutralizes the coronavirus,” Maduro insisted, stressing that everything related to this product will be published in international journals. “.
Carvativir, he continued, is a “totally harmless” drug because it “has no side or negative effects,” or at least that is demonstrated by the “massive experiments” that have been conducted in Venezuela, he said.
Starting this week, the president said, the “mass production” of this drug will begin, for which the Government intends to establish a direct distribution system to ensure the arrival of these doses to all hospitals and health centers in general.
In addition, Maduro intends to export thousands of doses of Carvativir to the countries that, together with Venezuela, make up the ALBA-TCP bloc (Cuba, Nicaragua, Bolivia, Haiti and other Caribbean nations) and market it to other countries with which it maintains a “Strategic relationship”, although he did not mention any.
He added that the executive vice-president, Delcy Rodríguez, would hand over all the information to the director of the World Health Organization (WHO), Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, “so that he knows and certifies this powerful antiviral”.
Maduro calls Carvativir “miracle drops” in reference to Venezuelan physician José Gregorio Hernández (1864-1919), who is considered venerable by the Catholic Church and will be beatified this year after Pope Francis approved a miracle attributed to this doctor.
