Macomb County will open a new COVID-19 vaccination site

WARREN, me. – Macomb County is stepping up its efforts to get more people vaccinated for COVID-19.

A new clinic will open Monday at the Southwest Health Center in Majestic Plaza, located on Van Dyke Avenue, just north of I-696 in Warren.

It is the fourth COVID vaccination site affiliated to the county in Macomb County.

Other county sites include the mass vaccination site at the Verkuilen building in Clinton Township, the Richmond-Lenox EMS site and the Sterling Heights Senior Center site.

County officials said the new Majestic Plaza location was chosen to be as accessible as possible.

“It simply came to our notice then. The unit is smaller, it is just around the corner, it is a recognized building that was in the community, serving the community “, said the director of the Health Department of Macomb County, Andrew Cox. “I think it only makes sense for us to get something in the south.”

The clinic will not be open for travel and appointments must be made. You can get an appointment on the Macomb County website here.
