Luis Enrique Santander in the new controversy, now in Necaxa vs Rayados

The whistle was again in controversy for a piece he did not sanction in favor of Rayados, for a penalty against Rayos de Necaxa

Whistler Luis Enrique Santader again challenged the refereeing, due to the decisions taken in the match between Rayos del Necaxa and Rayados de Monterrey, on the seventh day of the Guard1anes Clausura 2021 Tournament.

Felipe Ramos Rizo, former referee and analyst of ESPN, published through its social networks that “being in front of the play, Santander does not sanction a very clear penalty”.

The former whistle indicated the above after in a play there was a foul on Alfonso González, an element of Rayados, in the local area, but it was not indicated by Santander.

Another controversial part of the game came after a great chance to score, but Edgar Hernández’s attempt to finish was easily stopped.

At the end of the day, the referee did not indicate anything in that game, reason for which at that moment the advantage of Rayados was maintained with 1-0 in the match disputed on the Victoria stadium.

Santander had to resort to VAR review several times in games he could not solve on the field. Necaxa’s equality goal was debated due to a wrong hypothesis, but after the silent review of the video arbitration, the score was validated.

The central defender was criticized for canceling a goal against Pumas, due to the alleged displacement of Emanuel Montejano, who did not participate in the game. This decision opened the door for Toluca to beat the students 1 to 0.

Santander was named central judge in the duel between Necaxa and Monterrey, in addition to appearing as VAR in the match between Querétaro against Puebla, despite being chosen the other day for a controversial refereeing decision in Toluca against Pumas.
