Elizabeth Torres Rodríguez, partner of Alexandra Lúgaro Aponte’s ex-husband, announced today, Sunday, her candidacy for the delegation seeking statehood in the US Congress.
In a video posted on his social networks, Torres Rodríguez said that “the fight for justice is always calling me”.

Torres Rodríguez’s partner, Edwin Domínguez, were the people who were pardoned by former Governor Wanda Vázquez Garced after being convicted of violating protection orders imposed in favor of the two-time candidate for governor.
The special election to elect pro-state lobbyists is scheduled for May 16, as determined by the Law 167-2020The 16 applicants must submit 3,000 entries for their candidacy on or before March 15th.
