“Luca” will tell the story of a boy who shares his adventures with his new and recently discovered best friend. However, the fun is threatened when they both turn into sea creatures.

The new animated film is scheduled to be released in the middle of this year and will be directed by Enrico Casarosa, who will make his first feature film debut. Casarosa has also made productions, such as “La luna”, an animated short film nominated for an Oscar in 2012.

In this new Pixar production, the director stated that the story is based on his own childhood experiences in Italy. In this way, it will be a film dedicated to Italy in which the central theme will be friendship. Also, the production will be in charge of Andrea Warren, who previously worked on “Cars 3”, “Monsters, SA” and “Bugs, a miniature adventure”.
