Loves Furniture officially files for bankruptcy in Chapter 11

WARREN, me. – Loves Furniture, the company that took over many closed locations Art Van Furniture, filed for bankruptcy in Chapter 11.

The bankruptcy of Loves Furniture was filed Wednesday in the US Bankruptcy Court. Art Van Furniture filed for bankruptcy in Chapter 11 in March last year.

In May last year, it was announced that Loves Furniture would reopen 27 closed Art Van locations in six states – including 17 locations in Michigan.

Prior to filing for bankruptcy, Loves Furniture had announced that some locations would be closed. Customers reported long delivery delays.

The supplement document indicates that Loves Furniture has between 100-199 creditors and between 10 and 50 million dollars.
