A new destination to discover
Instead of its traditional annual list, the news asked its readers to send messages highlighting the places that delighted and inspired them in 2020. The aim was to inspire travelers from around the world in a particularly difficult year for the tourism sector.
The Los Llanos region has been described as a point in Colombia that deserves to be discovered far beyond traditional destinations such as Cartagena or Bogotá.
“Los Llanos is home to an attractive combination of clean biodiversity and traditional cattle culture, seemingly lost over time. Anacondas, howler monkeys, capybaras and crocodiles coexist with farmers, ranchers and thousands of cattle, ”says the text written by Samuel Dulik.

Peru’s Huanchaco resort, located in La Libertad, has been noted for its excellent beaches for surfing and live local culture, embodied by fishermen and their reed horses.
Asunción, the capital of Paraguay, was also commended for the kindness and warmth of its people. “Backpacks tend to jump because of the brighter neighbors. But for me, traveling does not mean taking pictures of famous things: it is about people “, wrote Abigail Williamson, the author of the text.
